The radishes are the first of the year and were picked at the end of the tour.

It’s been 14 days since I last posted a garden status, since that time we’ve had the gamut of weather. Sadly I’ve had to resort to watering from the hose-pipe as we were without rain for most of that. Last weekend temperatures approached 100F and set some records, then this week we had cool weather and a gentle rain that lasted about 36 hours.

Two weeks ago the garden looked like this:

This morning like this:

This post is picture heavy┬áso I’ll make it quick! I love how the morning light shines on the garden.

Spaghetti Squash creeping up the support

Radishes all in a row

The lettuce is out of control!

Infant Carrots

Potatoes growing well. I need to add more soil (again)

Peas just starting to fruit

Black eyed peas in a pot

Squashes to the left; tomatoes and brassicas to the right

Chard about ready to be thinned

So that’s where we are at the moment, I do have something(s) that are snacking on foliage, haven’t caught anything in the act but I’m working on it.

Until next time, Keep Digging & Eat Well!
