>Shallots look nice, but the cucumber ain't gonna win you any prizes! (Well, not for size, anyway). [I have a Victorinox knife just like yours. Were you in the Scouts too???]

Annie's Granny
>Great looking shallots! Some of mine didn't get dug last year, but they lived on and got dug this past week. They were large, some had split, but they looked pretty good, considering. I cleaned up the split ones and will use them right away, probably with some fresh green beans. It's a good thing I had these leftover shallots, as my latest planting got consumed by huge cabbages, and I haven't much hope for their survival.

>Mark, The knife is there for scale. I want them small, and the taste is outstanding! No I wasn't a scout, I was a miscreant!
Granny, I'm pretty excited as this is my first go at it!
