So this is what 3 lbs of chillies look like!
I’ve got some preserving to do!
Until next time, Eat Well & Keep Digging (and keep some milk on hand!)

That’s some chili harvest, David! And 3 lbs, to boot! Excellent.
You might enjoy this. I tried and tried but couldn’t find any crates of Mission figs anywhere, nor could I find cherry bomb peppers. I did find some figs by the pint and bought a few. That same weekend a farmer was selling small Tulip bell peppers and I bought some of them. I brandied the figs and pickled the peppers. Today, I went back to my Italian market for provisions to bring to Michigan. They had crates of Mission figs for $4.99 and cherry bomb peppers. I bought and pickled the peppers, even though I’m leaving at dawn! I just couldn’t pass ’em up! If they have those figs when I get back, I’ll be making jam!

It’s more chillies than I can use. So I made 8 more half pints of sambal and I’m bring a bunch to work to give away. I need more figs to turn into Jam! Safe travels John.

Love the colors!!! So pretty! Can’t wait to see what you do with it….will you be preserving it all?? Any fresh recipes planned???
I did jar some – but I’ll be drying as well, and likely making some chilli oil from the red ones…
